ZIMFEST - Change in Festival Dates. (TBA)



The organizers have decided that a real ZIMFEST needs real ZIMBABWEAN weather. 

(sorry Cape Town but its true)



Zimfest 09 has been postponed ...but not for long.



We are not completely sure that summer has arrived in Cape Town yet.. and so.. the simple solution is to wait a couple days until we know we wont be rained out.



Since ZIMFEST is a fundraiser we need to make sure you are all going to support us and wont be scared off at the last minute by bad weather.



As soon as the sun hits Cape Town in a meaningful way the Festival will resume as planned.



ZIMFEST - Initially planed to take place at De Heuvel Olive and Wine Estate has been postponed for a couple of weeks until blue sky's and sunny afternoons are a definite feature.



ALSO...We don't want you all sinking into the mud and making a mess.



If you are all going to come and camp (or stay in luxury at the nearby BnB) then it had better be lovely weather with long evenings and spectacular views of our wonderful venue.



The shift in dates gives us a little more time to bring you an event better festival, generate more awareness and with more sponsors joining us you can expect a couple more surprises in store.



With a more time ZIMFEST just got bigger.. and so we have reason to throw another party as well as raise more awareness.

After a successful launch in 2008, Zimfest South Africa promises to be bigger and better and that is a promise we will live up too. In only it's second year in existance this event has managed to tap into the global spirit of Zimfest.

ZIMFEST has become a international affair with the UK and Australia both hosting successful event in September this year , making the festival so much more exciting.

This year ZIMFEST South Africa promises to be a weekend like no other.  With a stunning new venue and a host of suprises - this is one that you do not want to miss.The festival will be held at De Huevel Estate, Tulbagh in one of the most beautiful settings in the world

Bring all your camping gear.. tents and sleeping bags and sun screen.. camping areas are provided as well as water access, showers, toilets etc. No Glass Bottles. No bad attitudes. No unaccompanied minors.

These are really exciting times, and we are working closely with the Zimfest teams around the world to deliver a world class festival. Instead of dwelling on the unfortunate situation that has prevailed in Zimbabwe in the past few years we aim to celebrate the changes made and put our foot down and tell the world "Enough is enough".
 

As Zimbabweans and friends of Zimbabwe we have a responsability to celebrate all that is good about Zim. We strive to show the world that there is another way and that  Zimbabweans are not as divided as it may seem...

Most importantly Zimfest is always for a good cause, the Cape Town event will continue to support PASSOP (People against Suffering, Suppression, Oppression and Poverty) a community based NGO that advocates for the rights of refugees, a true voice for the voiceless.
